News of another exciting initiative.  Professor Will Alsop is a Stirling Prize award-winning architect, and Richard Reid (whose practice has been responsible for many of the estate’s existing designs) is an internationally-acclaimed designer, academic and practitioner.  They’ve agreed to join me on a Lower Mill design panel which we’ve convened expressly to facilitate a new Eco Self-Build opportunity on the Estate.

Playing in the reserves …

It’s all kicking off everywhere, which is fantastic: from the Sunday Times, I gather that Sir Terence Conran is planning an eco-village of 22 homes in Norfolk (though they’ve been criticised for bland design, which is a disappointment, especially from the man who did so much to revolutionise perceptions of interiors), whilst the government has drawn up a longlist of a shortlist of a list of “green” developers to develop eco-towns.
