“the coolest swimming pool in Britain”
When Jonathan Margolis of the FT’s How To Spend It magazine needed “the
coolest swimming pool in Britain” to film an underwater edition of his
video bulletin on the smart new How To Spend It website, I naturally
offered the artspa.
Jonathan and his crew turned up from London in a
foot of snow the other day and set up camp with a van load of underwater
filming gear and a safety diver, as required by our old friends Health
and Safety. “Meet my security detail,” Jonathan said as they trudged
across a snowfield in a scene reminiscent of a Gloucestershire remake of
Dr Zhivago.
The resulting video, featuring the best bit of sub-aqua kit
I’ve seen in a long while, manages not to include the thick snow outside
the artspa - which of course will make it not look too odd come the
summer. You can see the video at:

The ecological experience: take the plunge
Reed beds filter, purify and oxygenate water. More and more individuals and companies are becoming aware of the simple appeal and effectiveness of the biology involved.
Down at Lower Mill, residents can now get right into the eco-filtration experience, so to speak, because we’ve got the UK’s first ever eco-plunge pool
